This project involved the rebranding and redesign of the ASKET mobile app, transforming it into a more dynamic and user-friendly platform with a focus on exercise and wellness. The primary goal was to create an engaging experience for users that seamlessly integrates e-commerce functionalities with workout and exercise content. The redesign process included the development of high-fidelity wireframes and an interactive prototype, all executed using Figma.

Objective

The key objective was to refresh ASKET's brand identity while enhancing the app's usability and appeal. The redesign aimed to deliver a cohesive experience that aligns with modern user expectations, combining sleek aesthetics with intuitive navigation. The app’s functionality was expanded to include personalized workout routines, e-commerce capabilities for fitness products, and social interaction features.

Design Process

  • User Research & Personas:

    • Conducted user research to identify the needs, pain points, and preferences of the target audience.

    • Developed personas representing different user types to guide the design process and ensure the app addresses a variety of user scenarios.

  • Wireframing:

    • Created low-fidelity wireframes to outline the app’s structure and flow. These wireframes focused on the placement of key components such as workout cards, product listings, and user profile sections.

    • Iterated on wireframes based on feedback, refining the layout to enhance usability and visual hierarchy.

  • Component Design:

    • Designed reusable UI components including buttons, cards, navigation bars, and product displays. This ensured consistency across different screens and simplified the development process.

    • Components were designed with scalability in mind, allowing for easy updates and additions in future app versions.

  • High-Fidelity Prototype:

    • Developed a high-fidelity prototype in Figma, incorporating the refined design elements and interactive features.

    • The prototype included fully functional navigation, allowing stakeholders to experience the app flow from onboarding to purchasing products.

    • Emphasized the use of clean lines, modern typography, and a balanced color palette that reflects ASKET’s refreshed brand identity.

  • E-commerce Integration:

    • Designed a seamless e-commerce experience within the app, enabling users to browse, select, and purchase fitness products directly from their mobile devices.

    • Integrated product recommendation features based on users’ workout preferences and history, enhancing the personalization aspect of the app.

  • Testing & Iteration:

    • Conducted usability testing with a select group of users to identify potential issues and gather feedback on the overall experience.

    • Iterated on the design based on testing insights, making adjustments to improve the flow, accessibility, and visual appeal of the app.

Outcome

The ASKET rebranding project successfully delivered a modern, user-centered app that not only enhances the user’s exercise experience but also integrates e-commerce features seamlessly. The new design positions ASKET as a leading app in the fitness and wellness space, offering users a holistic approach to achieving their health goals.
